How Can dry Cough And Soreness In The Groin be Treated?

Hi, my husband had a serious case of the flu about 6 weeks ago. He was very very lethargic for about 3 weeks, developed a very dry wracking cough but most of all his groin is sore. Had blood tests, xrays the works nothing wrong. Taking a tonic but still has cough and groin still very sore on one side. He never takes pills so cannot take anything strong otherwise gets metal taste in his mouth. Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The groin pain is due to prolonged coughing.

As of now you can take suppressive cough syrups and antihistamines like cetirizine for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and start a short course of antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
